Back from adventure, ready for the next one

It was time to return to base and get back to the marketplace, as they say in Zen Meditation practice. The past four days were thrilling riding on the winding roads, soaking in the early morning mist, and negotiating some bad stretches of road. I couldn't have asked for anything better from this quick trip.

All recharged, I started early to avoid the traffic in towns on the way. The unique hue of green peculiar to Kerala after the rain was in full colour after the previous evening's downpour. The sunlight seeping through the tall trees created a surreal atmosphere. I was soon brought back to reality with a multitude of lorries passing by. Most of them waiting on the other side of the Bandipur forest for the gates to open will flood through around 7 and onwards.

The forest was serene, with deer grazing by the edge of the forest and an elephant cub with its parent reaching out for the leaves on higher branches of trees. With a heart full of delightful memories and soul full of delight, the five-day odyssey came to an end.
