Riding into serenity, one interior road at a time

At about 50 odd kilometres from Mysore, Malavalli town is a key junction where multiple roads converge. One road leads to Kollegala, another towards Maddur and another to Kanakapura in addition to the route I took from Mysore. Brimming with excitement, I started early and reached Malavalli before the traffic began flowing towards Mysore town. From here, a lesser-known back road leads to the Malavalli-Talakadu road.

A picturesque lake just beyond the town limits is an idyllic, charming place to spend some time in the early morning. Riding around the lake, watching the birds leaping from tree to tree and swooping down to get their day's catch from the water was refreshing. Passing through quaint villages with exotic names like Ravani, I reached the town of Puragali. This junction is the deviation towards Talakadu, Belakavadi and T.Narsipura.

From here, I turned towards T.Narsipura, and before long, I reached T.Narsipura and was back in Mysore for a hearty breakfast at our favourite restaurant close to home. There is something invigorating about a morning ride that truly satisfies the adventure spirit and the craving to ride the motorcycle. The serene water body and the fresh air energised me for the week ahead.
