Back to Chamundi
It would've been easy to name this blog 40 (rides to Chamundi Betta). Weekday early mornings Chamundi Betta is synonymous with tranquillity. Entering from Uttanahalli side gate, I head straight to Nandi Statue. As the main road (from Chamundi temple side) leading to the Nandi statue is still not repaired, people don't take the detour to visit the Nandi Statue. This is a perfect place for those who prefer solitude, an open and uncrowded setting. You will come across a few brave souls hiking on the steps.
I do this trip at least 2-3 times a month. Despite going there numerous times, it just doesn't get boring. The peace and tranquillity of this place in the early mornings are unrivalled.
After talking to elderly relatives who have had a stint in Mysore in their younger days, I found nearby locations that are not on the tourist radar. It is my hope to explore these less frequented places in the upcoming rides.
